The historical charm of the hotel was enchanting, and the owners shared fascinating stories about its origins. Our cottage was cozy and perfect for late-night family board games.

The room was romantic and quiet with comfortable beds. The staff was affable, gave advice about the city. I found the hotel's location comfortable and quiet, really close to many historic attractions, especially President Truman's museum, and common areas.

A cozy stay with a twist

Woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sunlight pouring through beautiful historic windows. The homemade breakfast was a good surprise each morning, especially the blueberry french toast that I'll cherish forever.

We did notice some minor issues, like the low water pressure during our showers and a few faint noises from the street that occasionally disrupted our peaceful slumber. Despite that, our stay felt magical overall.

The hotel has comfy and quiet location right by cut wood available with an outdoor Fire pit, and Independence Square.

Staying in the Wren Cottage was a true delight. The attention to detail was amazing, from the cozy fireplace to the inviting beach-themed decor. Homemade breakfast with organic vegetables added a special touch to the mornings. Even more excellent was the gracious assistance offered when we needed help with an unexpected logistical issue. A minor inconvenience was that the area was somewhat distant from local attractions, requiring additional travel time. The tranquility of the grounds made it worth it.

The breakfast was freshly made, with amazing dishes like honey vanilla yogurt with homemade plum jam. This place was great with its vintage charm and beautifully decorated rooms.

Staying here with my big family was a treat. The hotel has a vintage charm that we all adored, and the hosts. We enjoyed our time at the nearby nature park, wandering through the trails and soaking in the scenic beauty.

My kids wished for a more extensive play area.

The Comfort Queen Room was cozy and charming. I loved the historical decor, and the owner was very accommodating with our needs. It seemed like a good little escape from reality.

The only downside? The nearby intersection. I swear I saw a fire truck doing donuts outside my window.

The breakfast was good, served beautifully with a personal touch! The cozy fire pit area was perfect for evening relaxation, surrounded by lovely gardens. A charming stay that felt just like home!

Had a blast with friends at this charming place! We checked out The Kansas City Symphony and the gorgeous George Owens Nature Park. The character of the inn was awesome. Vickie Lynn, and breakfast was a treat-just what we needed to kick off our adventures!

We noticed that the hot tub was lukewarm, a bit of a letdown given that we were hoping to relax in it.

Couples looking for a cozy retreat

We stayed in a Cottage, and the private hot tub was amazing! After battling my chronic pain condition, two days soaking in that tub with a miraculous massage.

It was not exactly cheap but still manageable for a nice getaway.

Great relaxing stay with a comfy room and delicious breakfasts. Wi-Fi was spotty sometimes.
